Keeping your home clean when you’re busy (and have a toddler) can feel impossible.
For the longest time, I felt like I was either:
- Cleaning all day
- Or living in a mess
There was no in-between.
So I stopped trying to do everything perfectly—and created a simple, realistic routine that actually works.
This is exactly what I do to keep my home clean without spending hours cleaning every day 🤍

🧼 My Daily Cleaning Routine (20–30 minutes total)
I don’t deep clean every day. I just focus on keeping things under control.
🧹 Morning Reset (10 minutes)
This sets the tone for the whole day.
What I do:
- Start the robot vacuum (while I’m busy with my toddler)
- Make the bed quickly
- Wipe kitchen counters
👉 This alone makes your home feel clean instantly
🍽️ After Meals (5–10 minutes)
Instead of letting things pile up:
- Load dishes right away
- Quick wipe of table + counters
- Sweep or spot clean if needed
👉 This prevents that overwhelming mess later
🛁 Bathroom Maintenance (2 minutes)
This is my secret to a clean bathroom without scrubbing constantly:
- Spray daily shower cleaner after shower
- Quick wipe of sink if needed
👉 No buildup = no deep cleaning stress
🧸 Night Reset (10 minutes)
This is the MOST important part.
Before bed:
- Pick up toys
- Reset the living room
- Quick kitchen cleanup
👉 Waking up to a clean space = everything
🧰 The Tools That Make This Routine Easy
I don’t do this routine without help—these tools save me so much time:
- Robot vacuum → cleans while I do other things
- Wet/dry vacuum → quick deep clean when needed
- Microfiber cloths → fast wipe downs
- Daily shower spray → no scrubbing
👉 These are the same tools I use every week (and they actually work)
🗓️ My Weekly Reset (1–2 hours max)
Once a week, I do a deeper clean:
- Mop floors
- Clean bathroom properly
- Change sheets
- Wipe appliances
👉 Because I maintain daily, this never takes long
🤍 What Actually Changed Everything
It wasn’t motivation.
It wasn’t discipline.
It was:
👉 Keeping things simple
👉 Using the right tools
👉 Staying consistent (not perfect)
💡 If You’re Feeling Overwhelmed
Start with just this:
- Do a 10-minute reset at night
- Add one tool that saves you time
That’s it.
