My Realistic Cleaning Routine as a Busy Mom (What Actually Works)

Keeping your home clean when you’re busy (and have a toddler) can feel impossible.

For the longest time, I felt like I was either:

So I stopped trying to do everything perfectly—and created a simple, realistic routine that actually works.

🧼 My Daily Cleaning Routine (20–30 minutes total)

I don’t deep clean every day. I just focus on keeping things under control.


🧹 Morning Reset (10 minutes)

This sets the tone for the whole day.

What I do:

  • Start the robot vacuum (while I’m busy with my toddler)
  • Make the bed quickly
  • Wipe kitchen counters

Before bed:
